Samsung is patenting a phone antenna that lives outside the device body, positioned near the camera, and can be switched on or off to reshape how the phone broadcasts and receives signals.

That said, this is an early-stage patent filing, so whether it ever ships in a Galaxy device is an open question.

The camera placement detail is the interesting angle, it suggests Samsung is thinking about how photography use cases specifically degrade antenna performance.
