New Samsung Patents
Samsung Electronics is one of the world's largest patent filers, covering semiconductors, displays, smartphones, foldables, wearables, and on-device AI.
Through the USPTO’s October 1, 2026 release, Patentlyze has covered 1,399 notable Samsung patent applications, including 247 published in the last 30 days.
This week's published patents
Samsung's 35 newest filings sort into four clusters:
- Cameras and color. Filings target image quality from multiple angles, including a selfie camera that corrects rear photo colors, a nanostructure lens that splits light without color filters, and an AI that grades its own photo edits to improve over time.
- AI at the device level. Several filings push AI closer to hardware, covering a system that decides where to run AI tasks, a way to compress AI image generators without degrading output, and a longer memory for AI chatbots.
- Displays, foldables, and sensors. Filings address screen hardware challenges: a foldable display that shrinks the border and seals the edges, speakers that retune as you fold the phone, and a two-chip system that fixes screen colors while the phone sleeps.
- Connectivity and location. Wireless and positioning filings include a fix for two 5G devices sharing location signals simultaneously, a way to pinpoint low-power devices using fewer radio signals, and a chip that moves data with light instead of electrical signals.
