Samsung's 48 newest filings sort into four clusters:
- UI and interaction. Interface filings include a circular arc menu for audio track selection, 3D icons you press into the screen to open apps, and a virtual keyboard that reads on-screen context to predict input.
- AI and media processing. AI-driven media filings cover a photo eraser that reshapes its own selection before filling in the background, slow-motion video generated from normal footage, and a personalized recap built when you resume a paused show.
- Sensors, displays, and hardware. Hardware filings include a display that dims individual pixels by temperature, a camera chip that handles autofocus and HDR simultaneously, and a fingerprint reader hidden inside a phone's structural frame.
- Antennas, wireless, and power. Connectivity filings cover a foldable phone antenna that stays active when the device is shut, a phone frame with a hidden slot that acts as an antenna, and a charging system that both receives power and shares battery wirelessly.
