Meta's 6 newest filings sort into two clusters:
- AR glasses and input. Four filings cover the physical and interaction design of AR glasses: a frame where the lens is part of the frame itself, typing on any flat surface, full-hand motion tracking in place of a thumb-stick, and automatic hand illumination when headset cameras lose tracking.
- Spatial computing extras. The remaining two filings add capabilities to AR and VR environments: one organizes audio into zones inside virtual spaces, and another turns AR glasses into a point-and-click smart home remote.
